System settings


By setting the network values, you will enable connecting ihServer to local network and data exchange between intraHouse system controllers and the server. intraHouse equipment will be supplied to the installer and the user with all necessary setting values or those values will be already entered in the system. Besides, you can always rely on our team who’ll promptly provide their assistance.

The default network address for ihServer is If necessary, you can manually change all values: go to HouseManager/System/Network settings and use the “Edit” button.



Accounts will be used to enter the system and restrict rights for access to certain intraHouse system sections and functions.

To add, remove or change accounts, go to HouseManager/System/Accounts. Please create accounts for all possible users: to do so, please add them one by one to the list, using functional buttons in the lower part of the screen. It is required to fill in all the fields. To grant or withdraw admin rights for the user, tick the “Admin” box or remove the tick.

There are two account types in intraHouse system: Users and Administrators.

  • Users

User accounts may access Primary User Interface only, i.e. people with User rights cannot change the structure, behavior and other important system settings. We recommend all our customers to access the system from user accounts for daily system operation.


  • Administrators

Accounts with Admin rights are marked with a flag symbol. Admin rights allow users to access both modes of the system: Primary Interface and HouseManager. For security purposes, we recommend using admin accounts for changing system settings only.

intraHouse system is supplied with one administrator account by default:

Login: admin

Password: 202020

During first session, we recommend changing the default password for admin account to your own password and adding a new user account.

From admin account the user can at any time change properties of any account: change password and upgrade or degrade access level, using the “Edit” button.

Note: the system should have at least one admin account. Otherwise HouseManager mode will be inaccessible.


Access to Remote Control 

With this function, you can adjust authorization conditions. By default, intraHouse system allows user authorization from any network and any IP address.

User communication with the server is via a socket connection and is encrypted by a special security key. With every new session, intraHouse system checks the encryption key which was active in the previous session. If there is no such key, the system will still need to get it. Go to HouseManager/Remote access/Remote authorization to adjust the key retrieval mechanism for remote operation (not for local network):


  • Enable: the key will be retrieved the same way as in a local network (there is a risk of key interception)
  • Once-only password via SMS: during authorization, the system will send a message with a one-time password to be entered in the popup window. This mechanism prevents authorization of people whose phone numbers are not in the system.
  • Disable: in case of authorization from outside the local network, only a blue screen without the interface and any windows will appear.

To increase the system security level and prevent unauthorized access, you can apply limited access mode: only for users of one local network or only for users whose phone numbers are entered in the list of permitted numbers (see SMS section – Phones for SMS). The latter mechanism is similar to Internet banking security systems, so it will be undoubtedly useful for office centers and shopping malls. Authorization at http://ip-address:port will start with a window where the user should enter a phone number:

if the number entered matches one of the numbers in intraHouse system permitted list, a message with one-time password will be sent to the same number to be entered in the following window:



Access to the system means one-time authorization has been successful

Important: if there is no GSM gateway or the owner is not planning to have it to operate the system with SMS commands and remotely, we highly recommend choosing “Disabled” value for remote authorization.

Note: if “Remote authorization” is “Enabled” in the system and the system owner is using a shared computer/smart phone to remotely access the system, the browser installed on that device will save a key of successful session and will repeat it without the owner permission. In this case we highly recommend you to Logout from the system after the session is over, by a click on the “Logout” key in Settings (See User Manual), then force the browser to clear cache and refresh the page http://ip-address:port to check it.


SMS & Email Notification Groups

This function is very important for system notification adjustment. It complements “Settings” subsection of SMS and Email sections (System tab). The system is supplied with two default OWNER groups. Creation of new groups is reasonable for commercial projects, where intraHouse system is used, for instance, for automation of utility systems in office and shopping centers, as such centers will have a specific organization structure.

Important: tick the “Control” box to enable it, if you would like to authorize this group to control the system with SMS commands.



You can find localization settings in “Localization” subsection in HouseManager/System/System settings/:

Important: localization settings can affect calculation of sunset and dawn time, mode switching in the system Schedule (Day, Night, Economical), and accuracy of Journal entries (unless localization is properly adjusted, the said components can function inappropriately).

intraHouse system has the following localization settings:

Country and Time zone: they are used for time zone determination. Please select a country from the database. The system will offer a time zone according to the capital city of the selected country. You can change the time zone by selecting a relevant city from the list:

Time in intraHouse system will be set according to the selected time zone and will be displayed on the Clock widget which can be viewed in Primary User Interface by a click on Info menu item.

Note: if network settings are accurate, ihServer will synchronize time via the Internet.

Latitude and Longitude will affect the sunset and dawn calculator. The system will automatically calculate and display Degrees and Minutes, according to the location of the selected city.



intraHouse system is delivered with three default languages: Russian, English and Arabic. This parameter will affect names of menu items, lists, devices, inscriptions on keys, etc.

You can customize the list of available languages by selecting them from the default list: go to HouseManager, System tab, System Settings.

If more than one language is selected in Languages subsection, the language which comes first in the list will be used as a default language. HM Interface: this function will allow the user to change system language for Primary Interface, without entering HouseManager mode. The list generated here will be shown in Primary User Interface settings where every user will be able to select a language for each session individually

If only one language has been selected the interface will NOT be considered Multilanguage.


Save & Restore Data

Data saving function is always active. The system saves all settings made so far in a safe archive. From the archive you can at any time restore the intraHouse system. This function can be useful for installers when they are changing the system structure: it will save time and efforts as the system can be brought back to its earlier saved condition at any time.

Version of system: you can check for a new release of intraHouse software and upgrade your version by a click on “Test new” and “Upgrade”. If there is a new release available, you will see the name of a new version.
