Automatic scenarios

//Customization Guide – House Manager – Scenarios / Automatic scenarios/

Automatic scenarios: a group of scenarios that enable fast and easy configuration of device behavior. Unlike interactive and on-event scenarios, automatic scenario templates are already installed in intraHouse system, they are well-thought out in detail and tested by the developer. Automatic scenarios can ensure error-free interaction of a large number of different devices, with a complex sequence of actions.

There are two methods of automatic scenario activation:

1. When adding a new device: by a click on “Auto” key in HouseManager/System/Devices.

2. By a click on “Add” key in HouseManager/Scens/Automatic scenarios.

You can see the list of the available automatic scenario templates in Attachments to this Guide.

A noticeable advantage of automatic scenarios is easy tuning of scenario parameters while the system is in operation. You can access automatic scenario setting panel from the main user interface and can at any time enter parameter values from the keyboard.

Those parameters can include:

a) time to return to automatic mode after manual activation

b) time to return to automatic mode after manual deactivation, etc.

Every automatic scenario has contextual description of implied actions

intraHouse system has dozens of automatic scenario templates for interaction of nearly all possible devices installed in a house. Automatic, interactive and on event scenarios together handle more than 95% of house automation tasks.

Note: We recommend using one automatic scenario for one device. If you have more than one automatic scenarios working in parallel for the same device, they could have cross effect on one another.

Let’s see an example of how to add the automatic scenario “Lights on activated by motion sensor”:

In this case we would like to have motion activated lights on outside the house, when it’s dark.

Please go to HouseManager/Scenarios/Automatic scenarios, then press “Add”: apply the filter “Outside area” to the list of devices and select “Lighting” subsystem. You will be able to view all the lighting devices available at this level.

Select lights from the list of devices, e.g. “Street lighting 1”. You will now see a list of automatic scenario templates available for the selected device.

Select “Light on motion sensor in view of light sensor”. The system will describe the activities implied in the selected scenario and indicate the full name of involved devices.

Please save the result. The automatic scenario you’ve just created can be found in the end of the general list.

As you create a new scenario you can notice the “Auto” key appear for the device, if you see it in Primary Interface, Systems section (list view).
