Customization tools for Primary User Interface are provided in HouseManager/System/Primary Interface/. Here you can customize the contents and sequence of main menu keys, device and scenario shortcuts and adjust the system status bar.

Main Menu

Main Menu in a.System has 8 menu items. The main user menu contents is shown in Fig.1 (in form of keys) and Fig.2 (in tabular format).

Fig.2 Customization of Main Menu

To change the contents and sequence of menu keys, use the functional keys (add, remove, edit, up/down arrows).
The table above has the following fields:

ID is a system-defined ID of menu item. The system automatically assigns IDs, so you don't have to change them. a.System has 8 default menu items:
  • Systems;
  • Scenarios;
  • Modes;
  • Schedule;
  • Journal;
  • Info;
  • Photo;
  • CCTV.
The purpose of these menu items is described in detail in User Manual
Name is the text to appear on the key. We recommend you to use the default name or you could rename it as you wish.
Image is the icon to appear on the key. If needed, you may upload an icon from your PC and use it. Image requirements:
File format: .png (preferrable), .jpg .gif
Size: 40x40 dpi

Device shortucts

The configuration tools allow the users to adjust the contents and sequence of device shortcuts so that they could save their time finding the ways to turn on/off the most frequently demanded devices installed in their property. The keys you select here will appear in the bottom left corner of the user interface screen. Virtually any device can be quickly controlled from the menu, and you can add as many device shortcuts as you wish.

"Edit" button will enable you to customize:

- texts for each mode of the device to be shown on the key (instead of the traditional "on/off" you can have "open/close", etc.);

- you can have the system switch to a certain main menu mode with a click on a certain key (e.g., you might want the system to switch to CCTV streaming after a click on "Close gate" key, so that you could check if the gate has been really closed, without going outside). When necessary, you can specify the videocamera number in the relevant field of the same window.
The settings for device shortcuts also allow you to add another action the system will carry out after you press the device shortcut. E.g., you can save some time and have the system switch to "CCTV" function after clicking on the "Close gate" key, thus you'll make sure the command has been executed and nobody has entered your property.

Scenario shortcuts

In this subsection, you can add shortcuts to run interactive scenarios. Those keys will be located under Main Menu. You cannot have keys for Advanced or Automatic (template-based) scenarios because scenarios of these two types will be run in a different way.

There is option "Confirm execution" which prevents an accidental click. We recommend having  this function engaged as you start using the system.

Scenario shortcuts on plan view

You can have shortcuts to certain scenarios on the graphical layout of the property. With those shortcuts you can quickly find and run the scenario you need.

Status bar
Status bar shows the condition of main systems and critical devices, in the top area of Primary Interface (Fig.1).
Status bar can be filled with icons for controllable devices whose status will change in real time. Status bar can be viewed from any page of Primary Interface, i.e. the information about those devices, e.g. gate close sensor, current Mode (Day, Night, or Economical), Guard system status, will be always visible to the user.

The items filled in the status bar table will be continuously displayed in Primary User Interface.

The table includes some columns the contents of which should not be changed.

Ordering of control keys
In Primary Interface, the user can arrange the Main Menu, Device shortcuts and Scenario shortcuts panels and keys inside those panels, to the user's taste. To change ordering, use functional keys in form of up/down arrows in the bottom part of the screen in HouseManager mode.
